How To Remove Your Spray Tan

Have you ever wanted to get rid of your spray tan quickly so you can get a new one? And it’s just not possible to wait it out? Here are some tips on how to speed up the process:

Exfoliate. Scrub, scrub, scrub. Exfoliating will remove the top layer of your epidermis—and it will help take your spray tan with it. Loofahs, washcloths or sugar scrubs will always do the trick! But we highly recommend using an exfoliating mitt. These mitts are both great for prepping for a spray tan, but also for taking an old spray tan off.

It’s all about the H2O. Soaking in water is the enemy of spray tan longevity—but if you want to remove your spray tan, try jumping into a long, hot shower, or draw yourself a luxurious, hot bath, or go swim in a pool!

Take an Epsom salt bath. If you’re going to take a bath (and why wouldn’t you?), Epsom salts can make it work more effectively to help take away your spray tan.

Shave! It’s time to grab the razor! Shaving will help scrape off the top layer of your skin and remove any remaining traces of tanning solution from your skin.

Use spray tan remover. Many sunless companies sell actual product that is designed specifically to remove spray tans. All you have to do is just apply the spray or lotion all over your body, and the spray tan remover will go to work!

Whatever is your jam… whether it’s quick & dirty like using manual exfoliation to remove a spray tan, or if you prefer an excuse for self care and want to take a long, hot bath with a glass of wine, you have many options to remove old spray tan and get you ready for a new glow.
